The Savage 30 was designed as a fast and futuristic backpack model glider.  The main goal was to produce a fast 30inch Dynamic Soaring airframe for smashing the sub 30inch (Tweety class) speed record.  I have flown one of the prototypes to 232mph which held the world record for a number of years – this has now been beaten with another glider I produce called ‘Reflex’ flown by Bruce Tebo in the USA.
I made custom airfoil’s for the Savage and designed it to fly as fast as possible but to remain stable at low speeds.

The Savage 30 has a removable fin and a hatch for accessing the radio equipment.
